The European lancelet is a marine invertebrate in the subphylum Cephalochordata. It is used as a model organism to study vertebrate evolutionary development.

The B. lanceolatum genome was imported from the Amphiencode project website.

The genes imported from the Amphiencode project website were selected based on the reference proteins.
