Lineus longissimus (Bootlace worm, reference) Assembly and Gene Annotation
About *Lineus longissimus *
The bootlace worm (Lineus longissimus) is a species of ribbon worm. The bootlace worm is in the phylum Nemertea, also called proboscis worms. Lineus longissimus is the most common nemertean found along the coasts of Britain. Bootlace worms may grow very long but are usually only 5 to 10 millimetres (0.20 to 0.39 in) in width. Its mucus is highly toxic.

Annotation
Protein-coding genes are automatically annotated using Ensembl's genebuild pipeline.
All transcripts are based on mRNA and proteins in public scientific databases. Small RNA features, protein features, BLAST hits and cross-references have been computed by Ensembl Metazoa.
