Stomoxys calcitrans (idStoCalc2.1)

Stomoxys calcitrans Assembly and Gene Annotation

About Stomoxys calcitrans

Stomoxys calcitrans is commonly called the stable fly (Stomoxys calcitrans), barn fly, biting house fly, dog fly, or power mower fly. Unlike most members of the family Muscidae, Stomoxys calcitrans and others of its genus suck blood from mammals. Now found worldwide, the species is considered to be of Eurasian or African origin.

The total length of the assembly is 1070934565 bp contained within 297 scaffolds. The scaffold N50 value is 199748301, the scaffold L50 value is 3. The GC% content of the assembly is 38.5%.

Annotation

Metazoa displaying genes linked to the assembly with accession GCA_963082655.1.

Genomic assembly deposited to the INSDC by Wellcome Sanger Institute. Genome annotation performed by Ensembl as part of the partnership with the Darwin Tree of Life (DToL) project.

Genome annotation was obtained using re-engineered versions of our Gene Annotation System Aken et al. with refinements implemented for non-vertebrate genomic annotation.
